Born in Sheffield, United Kingdom, and now based in Porto, Portugal, Chris Butcher -better known as Rocket01, has spent more than two decades developing a visual language that exists in the Universe of street art, environmental reflection, science fiction, beautiful creatures, and atmospheric storytelling.

Beginning in graffiti culture during the mid-1990s, his practice gradually evolved beyond lettering and traditional mural formats into immersive painted worlds that feel less like illustrations and more like environments.

His work plays with the idea of retrofuturism but does not imagine the future as cold, mechanical, or dystopian but always with the elements you see on his work.
